(August 31, 2018) With another outdoor season under wraps, Alberta Soccer will welcome 66 teams to the Senior Provincial Championships in Edmonton and Calgary this weekend.

Kicking off tonight and ending with the gold medal games on Monday, 110 matches will take place to determine the Province’s first-place team in each of the 14 Competitions. Teams finishing at the top of the Challenge and Jubilee competitions will be rewarded with an opportunity to play at Canada Soccer Nationals in Saskatoon, SK in early October. The top Masters and Classics Major teams will head to the Western Men’s Masters and Masters Women’s Regional Championships in Richmond, BC from September 20-23.

To support games that are fair, safe and enjoyable, Alberta Soccer will see 93 referees officiating the Soccer Fest games, with 22 of these being appointed to Challenge Cup and Jubilee Shield competitions.

Alberta Soccer wishes each of the teams and spectators a great weekend filled with high-quality soccer and thanks EDSA, CUSA, CWSA and their volunteers for facilitating the weekend.
